XM Studios Riddler - Samurai 1/4 1/4 Premium Collectibles Statue

XM Studios is excited to present The Riddler (Samurai Series), the next DC Premium Collectibles statue in our creative collaboration with Warner Bros. Consumer Products to showcase the Batman universe in exotic settings never seen before. Perched atop a curious tree along a dusty road sits an enigmatic figure draped in green Sengoku (Warring States) period clothing, beckoning travelers to partake in a simple game of wits. Each painstakingly handcrafted statue is individually hand-painted with XM’s famous quality finish, and comes in a bold, dynamic, and story-laden style.

Though masquerading as a seemingly innocent peddler with his Gyosho Bako (peddler’s chest) full of wares - if one were to peer within the intricately carved wooden box - they will find, to their abject horror, various assassination tools. Seen holding on to a Shakujo (a pilgrim’s staff), The Riddler is accompanied by a little red fox hiding diminutively beneath a tree branch.

Forming part of a crime syndicate associated with the Penguin Daimyo and The Joker Orochi, with an eye on recruiting unsuspecting common folk into doing their evil bidding, The Riddler lures them with untold rewards should they manage to beat him in a game of Go, played on a Goban (Go board) that’s been built into the top of the Gyosho Bako. After all, a man with an adorned Jingasa (war hat), albeit with a questionable crest, ought to be of noble bearings.

This statue comes with 3 head switch-outs, a classic nod with The Riddler wearing a bowler’s hat, one with him wearing a traditional Japanese Jingasa and one with a full-face mask. He comes with 2 left-arm switch-outs, 1 holding on to a traditional scroll bearing the words リドラーの謎 (Riddler’s mystery) and 1 holding on to a traditional fan. He also has 2 right-arm switch-outs, 1 holding on to a Shakujo staff and 1 holding on to a GO tile.

Background:
This depiction of The Riddler draws reference from Bakuto (gambler) syndicates that were occasionally hired by local authorities and tyrants to gamble with commoners to win back their workers’ earnings or to rope them into nefarious dealings. These syndicates were a precursor to modern day yakuza. Manipulated into gambling their life away, The Riddler gives desperate victims a way out of their predicament by offering them a riddle. If they manage to solve it, they are free to go. If they fail, a simple choice is given. Execute nefarious plans for the syndicate… Or die. Alas, this is but another cruel trick they would fall for, as only one person has ever been known to solve any of these dastardly riddles.

The Riddler - Samurai Collectibles statue features:

Three (3) head switch-outs: 1 classic head wearing a bowler’s hat, 1 with a full-face mask, 1 while wearing a traditional Japanese Jingasa.
Two (2) left-arms: 1 holding on to a traditional scroll bearing the words リドラーの謎 (Riddler’s mystery), 1 holding on to a traditional fan.
Two (2) right-arms: 1 holding on to a traditional staff, 1 holding on to a GO tile.
One (1) highly detailed sculpt: 1 featuring The Riddler in a Jinbei (informal summer wear) sitting on a tree branch.

FAQ - EU Tax Reform

On July 1st, 2021, the EU sales tax reform 2021 came into force for online shops that sell across the EU. This means that we have to display and calculate the VAT of the respective country of delivery for our articles. We are also obliged to pay these in the respective country.

For items open for Pre-Order with a Deposit or Full Payment under the Purchase Option, the conversion to EU countries should be emphasized. The amounts in the item details refer to the German VAT at 19% and are adjusted for EU countries with different VAT in the shopping cart. The EU sales tax reform 2021 will not change anything for Switzerland and England, both will remain excluded from VAT.

With immediate effect 35,00 Euros have to be charged for custom declaration papers next to the due freight for all non EU countries with a purchase value over 1000,00 Euros net regular freight charges included. We add these cost on the shipping cost at the checkout.

FAQ - Deposit

What means the Deposit of an item?
The deposit refers only to items in the Pre-Order status. Items which are in stock do not require a deposit. For the Pre-Order, you can choose between the points Deposit and Full Payment under the Purchase Option. The former requires only the amount of the Deposit listed and the balance later, while the Full Payment allows them 5% Discount on the price of the item. After the order you will receive an additional e-mail with all invoicing information for the payment. In both cases the remaining amount including shipping costs is to be paid shortly before the dispatch of the article and is also requested by us with an e-mail.

FAQ - 3% Discount

The immediate full payment of an item for pre-order means a 3% discount on the item price. Please choose the option Full Payment (3% Discount) under the Purchase Option. The price of the article with the deduction of the 3% discount appears directly above the shopping cart. After the order you will receive an additional e-mail with all invoicing information for the payment of the full payment of an item on pre-order. The shipping costs are to be paid shortly before the shipment of the article and are also requested by us with an e-mail.

What does the PreOrder Metal Plaques mean?
Based on feedback from collectors, we've made adjustments to the way our Early Bird Metal Plaque can be redeemed.This creates a transparency which now enables collectors to recognize whether they are entitled to a Metal Plaque.With the launch of the PreOrder of the XM The Riddler - Samurai 1/4 statue, the Metal Plaque is only available online for orders within 14 days after the official order date of XM Studios and at selected XM Studios conventions where certain products come before the official online-order open for pre-order on site.

The official PreOrder of the statue opens on Day 0. In the following 14 Days collectors have time to place their pre-order if they want to receive their statue with the Metal Plaque. The Day 14, beginning on Saturday, December 10th, 00:00 0´clock (German Time Zone), marks the end of the opportunity to receive a pre-order with a Metal Plaque.
